Labour Pain Relief Workshop
Wednesday 26th August | 6:00pm–8:00pm
Struthers Farmhouse, Dunlop, East Ayrshire
Price: £25 per couple - Introductory offer
Feel more prepared, more confident, and more in control of your birth.
Birth can be unpredictable, but understanding your pain relief options doesn't have to be.
Join me for this relaxed, evidence-based workshop at Struthers Farmhouse, where we'll explore the full range of comfort measures and pain relief options available during labour. Whether you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, having a planned caesarean, planning an epidural, or simply want to understand what's available, this workshop will help you make informed decisions that feel right for you.
During the workshop we'll cover:
- The physiology of labour pain and why understanding it matters.
- Practical coping strategies you can use throughout labour.
- Breathing, movement, positioning and massage techniques.
- How your birth partner can support you during labour.
- Natural and non-medical pain relief options.
- Medical pain relief, including gas and air, opioids and epidurals.
- Postnatal and post surgical pain relief.
- The benefits and limitations of each option.
- Common myths and misconceptions.
- The importance of an open mind and knowing your options.
This isn't about telling you what type of birth you should have. It's about providing balanced, evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions and feel more confident approaching your baby's birth.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, discuss real-life scenarios and build your confidence in a friendly, supportive environment.
Who is this workshop for?
Perfect for anyone expecting a baby, whether it's your first pregnancy or you're looking to refresh your knowledge before welcoming another little one. Suitable for any gestation. Birth partners are warmly encouraged to attend.
What's included?
- Two-hour interactive workshop.
- Expert-led, evidence-based antenatal education.
- Time for questions and discussion.
- A digital take-home guide packed with key information to refer back to after the session.
Limited spaces available. To keep the workshop relaxed, interactive and give everyone plenty of opportunity to ask questions, numbers are intentionally kept small. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
I can't wait to welcome you and help you feel informed, empowered and ready for whatever your birth journey brings.
